Wallethub, a website dedicated to personal finance, recently concluded and published its study on tax structures nationwide.  Its finding indicated that it believed South Carolina to have the third fairest tax structure in the United States.  First and second place were held by Montana, and Oregon respectively.  While last place was held by Washington state.

For those of you who missed it, City Councilman Cameron Runyan stopped by the office last week and became the FIRST City of Columbia councilman to sign the No New Tax Pledge! We want to thank him for his support of SCAT and promise not to raise taxes! We encourage other Councilman to join him and sign the pledge. And we encourage our taxpayers to press our political leaders to sign the pledge before taking office or seeking reelection!
